Goal
The goal of the Youth Choir is to teach the language of music and artistic expression within the context of a Catholic Christian community of faith, which includes active and regular participation in church liturgies.
Roles
- Leads and enlivens the congregation’s song
- Sings music that the congregation cannot
- Serves as a small-group within the Church for faith formation
- Sings beautiful and challenging music to praise God and edify the congregation
Those priorities help determine the programmatic choices that our music ministry makes. The functions are in a specific priority order, but I also believe each function is equally important as they must be present to have a vital music ministry.
